Recently, I was offered a position outside of my home that I normally would have jumped at except…

Current Situation:
I walked into one of my favorite places, the library. After catching up with staff like always, I was asked to apply for a position to work there.
I felt on top of the world! This is basically a dream job! If you know me at all, you know I’m a huge literacy fanatic! (Hence why I’m still working with PaperPie!) Working in a library again felt like kismet.

The timing though…

Over the last year or so God has been repeating to me “two kids”. After I quit my last job, I have felt a shift in our routine that has been wonderful for our family! I have felt I’m where I should be, doing what God has called me to do. However, I also have a longing to work for my own growth, entertainment and sense of “being an adult”. So this opportunity came up and my initial response was “I’d hate to turn it down.”

BUT THEN!!! (enter drum roll) A current client calls and asks if I’d like to work with another client related to her business. While maybe not a literacy related job, it’s one that I’m great at. One that comes with ease and one where I can stay home with my “two kids” and still do it well.
I have built my marketing business well over the last 7-8 years and although I hadn’t intended on taking on new clients, this came in perfect timing.

After many prayers and conversations, I decided it’d be better to take on a new marketing client than than taking the library position. I feel a bit sad about the library, but know I made the right decision for this time in my life.

It’s like God said “Ok. I know you want to work, but you ought to do it from home. Here you go… here’s another client that will allow you to grow, learn and be challenged, but you can still raise those two kids while being home.”

He always comes through.

Anyway, I had to document His perfect timing and His ability to know my wants and His willingness to give to me.

Also, if you are looking for a social media manager, I guess I’m taking on new clients again. 🤣
