…work. Yep! Sometimes our projects take up enough time that we make those days into dates. Coffee. Home Depot. Lunch. Work.
Pictured here is us working together on our BIG garden. Right now we have a small garden that is sufficient for herbs and a few tomatoes. It’s being passed to the kids for a learning garden because this year I have a goal of growing enough food to fill our pantry for the winter/spring. And of course, my ride or die is willing to build it! So when the weather is warm like this, we spend time working together on projects that will enhance our future.
He’s creative and talented with building and I’m patient enough to tend to plants. Or at least, I think I am. I’m also a “go to the lake” kind of person so time will tell if I spend enough time at home during growing season to be fruitful. He knows my spirit so he’s adding sprinklers- or some sort of watering system… 🤷♀️
I have to say, I’m grateful that we work well together on projects because they never end. We have some major projects happening all at once- He’s working on another truck (I say he, but he rarely does this work alone. I’m pretty good at bleeding breaks and cleaning tools). We are also finishing flooring on our main level (yes, again), redoing our kitchen (just the cabinets left!) and soon we are planning to finish the basement. I’m also working on acquiring enough plants so he can build a plant wall. (I’m pretty excited to be using our 3D printer to make some fun planter boxes!) And that should get us to summer!

Oh and in case you are wondering, the kids are using our smaller learning garden to grow a variety of flowers and watermelon.
Any tips for us on what to grow or how to grow it?
